Tortoise Creek’s wines epitomize the value-oriented wine making of their home: the Languedoc, Southern France’s laid-back answer to Bordelais stodginess.

David Butanis from Boston Wines will be pouring a variety of Tortoise Creek offerings. At around $12 a bottle, these wines are already killer values, but during the tasting a case purchase of Tortoise Creek wines comes with a 20% discount.

Narragansett Beer Friday, 6/5/09 5-7 PM

Rhode Island’s’ finest, Narragansett Beer, will be here for you to sample the ‘Gansett goodness on Friday. I’m going to assume that if you’re reading this than you almost certainly have no plans for the date in question. Your, “girlfriend’s” parents are not coming to town, and your plan to “clean out” the garage is clearly a foolish and misdirected use of your time and energy. We here at downTown would like to offer you an alternative. Saturday May 2nd we’re having a wine tasting with the proprietor and creative mastermind behind Tortoise Creek wines: Mel Master.

Tortoise Creek’s wines epitomize the value-oriented wine making of their home: the Languedoc, Southern France’s laid-back answer to Bordelais stodginess. Mr. Master will be pouring not only his southern french offerings, but a few wines from Californian stock as well.
