In 1880 the first brewery was born in the Dominican Republic, Presidente beer was created on 16 May 1935, in honor of the dictator Rafael Leonidas Trujillo. Downtown Wine & Spirits will be featuring both, President, a Pilsener beer type, with a water-based formulation, malted barley, refined corn, sugar and hops, with an alcohol content of 5% by volume and Presidente Light, a light beer with character. With an alcohol content under 4.3% by volume, this products is aimed at an audience with character and personality who wants a soft product, but with the true flavor of beer.
