Most kids spend their childhood, what? riding bikes, playing street hockey? Dan couldn’t tell you, having spent his childhood pushing toy cars up and down the aisles here at dTw&s. We’ve been family-owned for over twenty years now and Dan is the spawn of said family.
But he wasn’t supposed to be here. Not at first. He went off to college, spent the requisite few years wandering lost back and forth the US highways, living out of his car, on various couches, trying to figure out this that and the third. Something eventually drew him back, back, back to Boston.
Which was: the first Long Trail handed over at a college party with promises of rapture; the first Barolo lingered over during a graduation party; the dawning realization that in booze lies one of the last great intellectual and spiritual pursuits.
And, plus, he grew up here. He loves this place. This place is his home. These people are his family. Literally and figuratively.
